Owner Alex Ortecho is a Bedford Park native; backed by the state's Social Equity Investment Fund.
What we like: Equity-funded Hunts Point shop owned by a Bedford Park native; hosts product drops.
Keep in mind: Hunts Point Ave is a bit off the main retail corridors.
Garden Bliss
Southern Boulevard storefront near the Longwood/Hunts Point line.
Freshly Baked NYC
On the Arthur Avenue food strip; the owners started as a Queens delivery business.
What we like: Right on the Arthur Avenue food strip — the best munchies-adjacent location in the borough.

Women-owned; the second licensed shop on Arthur Avenue.
What we like: Women-owned with published delivery hours to the Bronx, Yonkers and Mount Vernon.

Greater Riverdale's first licensed shop; the name is Jamaican slang.
What we like: Greater Riverdale's first licensed store, near 238th Street's bars.

SESH NYC
The first licensed store in the North Bronx.
What we like: The North Bronx's first licensed shop, with same-day delivery until 11 p.m.
Keep in mind: Delivery is North Bronx only.

- Statis Cannabis Co. opened July 6, 2023 at 817 E. Tremont Ave. as the Bronx's first legal dispensary; it has since closed and relocated to New Rochelle.
- Verilife on West Fordham Road is a medical-only dispensary — you need a NY medical cannabis certification.
- Coming soon: licensed-but-not-open locations include Monarch NYC (574 W. 235th St.), Green Heights (349 E. Gun Hill Rd.) and Thurston Hall (2438 Grand Concourse).
