Bronx Dispensary Map 2026: Every Licensed Store, Neighborhood by Neighborhood

Legal weed in the Bronx is no longer a novelty, but it is still not everywhere. As of late August 2026, state licensing records show 23 open adult-use dispensaries in the borough: 17 operating under Conditional Adult-Use Retail Dispensary (CAURD) licenses, the equity license set aside for people with past cannabis convictions and their families, and six under standard retail licenses.

That is up from a single store in summer 2023, but it is still fewer than any borough except Staten Island, and the stores are unevenly spread. They bunch along a handful of corridors: Third Avenue in the South Bronx, Arthur Avenue and Fordham Road in the middle of the borough, East Tremont Avenue and Boston Road out east and north. Meanwhile, neighborhoods like Highbridge, Morrisania, Soundview and City Island do not have a licensed store listed at an address of their own.

How we built this map

Every store below is open under a license issued by the Office of Cannabis Management (OCM), the state regulator, and every one can be checked against the state's own verification list. Delivery zones, minimums and hours shift often, so treat the delivery notes as a starting point and confirm your address at checkout.

A quick timeline, counted from the list: one of today's open stores opened in 2023, 11 opened in 2024, seven in 2025 and four so far in 2026. The newest, Upscale Cannabis in Pelham Gardens, opened Aug. 7.

The Bronx dispensary map, area by area

South Bronx: Mott Haven, Melrose, Concourse, Longwood and Hunts Point (5 stores)

CONBUD Yankee Stadium, one block from Gate 8, is run by Coss Marte and Mario Ramos, both formerly incarcerated; it held its ribbon cutting on Jan. 23, 2025. Bronx Joint's owner, Alex Ortecho, is a Bedford Park native with past possession arrests, and the store was backed by the state's Social Equity Investment Fund.

On Third Avenue, Buddiez, which sponsors the Free Press, sits between East 152nd and 153rd streets, about three blocks north of The Hub and the 2 and 5 trains at 3 Av-149 St. If you want a South Bronx dispensary near The Hub, it is a short walk from that transit knot, and the Bx15 runs right past on Third Avenue. CONBUD's Mott Haven store is further south on the same avenue.

Central Bronx: Belmont, Fordham and Morris Heights (4 stores)

Arthur Avenue has two licensed stores on one strip. Freshly Baked, owned by David and Pamela Nicponski, started as a Queens delivery business and moved into the former Fabco Shoes space. North and Northwest Bronx: Riverdale to Wakefield (6 stores)

SESH was the first licensed store in the North Bronx and offers same-day delivery across that part of the borough, 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday. Frass Box, the first in Greater Riverdale, is owned by Daphne Borowski and Rodge Archer; the name is Jamaican slang. Two Buds in Wakefield is the Bronx's first Jamaican-owned dispensary, run by brothers Howell and Chris Miller. Stash House on West Fordham Road stands out for its drive-thru; just remember that consuming in any car, even a parked one, is illegal.

East Bronx: Van Nest to Throggs Neck (8 stores)

The East Bronx has the most stores and the most recent growth: three of this year's four openings landed here. Hush, the borough's second legal store, is now its longest-running, and it nearly did not survive a fight over school-distance measurements because it sits across from P.S. 89. A state law Gov. Kathy Hochul signed on Feb. 12, 2026, grandfathered more than 150 stores approved under mistaken measurements, and Hush stayed open. How to make sure a store is actually legal

Plenty of Bronx smoke shops still sell THC products that never passed state testing, and some look convincing. In June, an unlicensed Pelham Gardens shop called Indica Diamond allegedly cut the city's padlock off its door and resumed sales before the Sheriff's Office seized more than 800 pounds of product; here is what happened at Indica Diamond. Three checks take less than a minute:

1. Search the state list. OCM's Dispensary Location Verification page, on the agency's website, lists every licensed storefront.
2. Scan the sticker. Licensed stores post an OCM QR verification sticker near the entrance.
3. Read the package. Legal products carry New York's universal cannabis symbol and a QR code that links to lab results.

Closed, medical-only and coming soon

Gone: Statis Cannabis Co.

The Bronx's first legal dispensary, Statis Cannabis Co., opened at 817 E Tremont Ave on July 6, 2023. It has since closed here and relocated to New Rochelle, so older maps showing it are out of date.

Medical only: Verilife

Verilife at 25-27 W Fordham Rd is a medical dispensary. It serves registered patients in the state's medical program, not adult-use shoppers.

Licensed or advancing, not yet open

• Green Heights, 349 E Gun Hill Rd
• Thurston Hall, 2438 Grand Concourse
• I Bud You NY Inc., 1446 Williamsbridge Rd, which Community Board 10 voted 29-0 to recommend on April 16, 2026. Board votes are advisory; the state makes the licensing call.

Statewide, the pipeline is still moving. The Office of Cannabis Management's July data counted 683 adult-use dispensaries open across New York as of June, and the Cannabis Control Board continues to approve new licenses at its monthly meetings.

How the Bronx stacks up against the other boroughs

Twenty-three stores for about 1.4 million people: the Bronx has fewer legal counters than every borough but Staten Island.

That works out to roughly one licensed store for every 61,000 Bronx residents. The borough does lead the city on one measure: 74 percent of its stores hold CAURD equity licenses, the highest share of any borough. For the longer view, read our Bronx cannabis scorecard.
